1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Decodex mobile application ("App"), operated by an individual developer based in Hungary ("I", "me", "my"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Use of the App
Decodex is a cryptogram puzzle game. The App does not require you to create an account. You may use the App without providing any personal information. You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose — solving puzzles for personal entertainment — and not for any unlawful or prohibited activity.
3. Intellectual Property
All content within the App — including but not limited to its design, graphics, text, puzzles, code, and trademarks — is owned by me or licensed to me and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the App without my prior written consent.
4. User Content
The App does not allow you to post, upload, or share any content such as text, images, or other materials. All content displayed within the App is provided solely by me.
5. In-App Purchases
The App offers optional in-app purchases that unlock additional puzzle content or features. All in-app purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and payment policies. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies. No physical goods are sold through the App, and no subscription plans are offered.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. I do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of service — even if I have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party services (e.g., Apple's App Store for distribution and payments). I am not responsible for the practices, policies, or content of any third-party services. Your use of such services is governed by their respective terms and conditions.
9. Changes to These Terms
I reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. I encourage you to review this page periodically.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.
